metals on land, under the surface, in the sea, and even in the vacuum – for
instance, on Mars. The physical principle of the process that helps detect
metal particles and collect them does not depend on the humidity of the
material, the external pressure, and even the temperature of the materials
that the mining equipment is made if they can sustain such conditions and
not melt. The machine should be equally effective working in the depths of
the sea (at depths of up to 5-7 km), in the vacuum, on planets with no
atmosphere and with zero pressure, on Earth and other planets at extremely
high temperatures close to 700-800 degrees Celsius. Mining can be performed
in the hot sands of the Sahara desert at +60 degrees, and in South Africa,
where people never considered mining rare metals without water. The metal
is patented under the title “Method of automated artificial enrichment of
metal-containing ores”. If you ask me whether I consider this achievent
important, I will tell you that I do, and not just for myself, but the
humanity as a whole. I am sure that if everything goes well, this
technology can seriously disrupt the commodity markets. One floating
platform can process at least 600 thousand cubic meters of soil with 20
onboard units. As we know, you can extract 5-8, sometimes up to 20 grams
from a cubic meter. And there can be dozens or even hundreds of such
platforms. I assumed a mere 3 grams per cube and got some really
interesting figures. Models can vary in size: from small and portable (the
size of a backpack), to large ones consisting of hundreds of plates. As
many as 50 blocks can be installed on nuclear-powered icebreakers and
easily process a million cubic meters of gold-containing underwater soil
per day. If it sounds like a tale to some people, they are wrong – it’s
more real than thousands of other projects out there. Speaking of
complexity, let me give you an example: a modern submarine is 100 time more
complex that such a machine, let alone an airplane, which is 1000 more
technically complex.
So guys, expect some tectonic shifts on the market of non-ferrous and rare
metal.

USINA DE ONDAS PECEM -AULA DE CAMPO DA UNIFOR-ESPECIALIZAÇÃO DIREITO AMBIENTAL

Опубликовано: 22 июн. 2013 г.Gerar energia utilizando apenas a força das ondas do mar deixou de ser apenas um sonho e tornou-se realidade desde a noite do dia 24 de junho de 2012. Considerado um projeto-piloto de baixo impacto ambiental, hoje a Usina de Ondas está em funcionamento, mas em testes, aqui no Ceará, especificamente localizado no quebra-mar do Porto do Pecém em São Gonçalo do Amarante.
A detentora do projeto é a Coordenação dos Programas de Pós-Graduação de Engenharia (COPPE), da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), financiado pela Tractebel Energia, dentro do programa de P&D da Aneel, e conta com apoio do Governo do Estado do Ceará, tem um custo total estimado em R$ 18 milhões, sendo R$ 1 milhão de contrapartida do Governo do Estado (em parceria com a Universidade Federal do Ceará) e a cessão do espaço no Pecém.
A usina é, sem dúvida, o ponto de partida para o aproveitamento dessa riqueza que se renova e não polui. Para Sérgio Maes, que acompanha desde o início o projeto pela Tractebel Energia, esse feito inédito faz com que «nossa empresa escreva o primeiro capítulo desta fonte de energia renovável e sustentável no Brasil». O professor Segen Estefen, diretor de Tecnologia e Inovação da COPPE/UFRJ, diz que o mar tem sido encarado pelos pesquisadores como uma fronteira estratégica na qual o Brasil pode ser o líder tecnológico.
Infraestrutura
O Governo do Estado do Ceará, através da Secretaria de Infraestrutura do Ceará (Seinfra) foi responsável pelas obras de preparação da área de 200 metros quadrados no quebra-mar do Terminal de Múltiplas Utilidades do Pecém (TMUT), com um «engordamento» da área na parte leste do quebra-mar, que abriga hoje a usina-piloto de produção de energia elétrica a partir das ondas do mar.
Com a potência nominal de 100 quilowatts, a Usina de Ondas traz como principal inovação, em comparação com outras usinas de ondas no mundo, a utilização de um acumulador e de uma câmara hiperbárica para armazenar a água sob altas pressões, como as geradas pelas quedas d´água das hidrelétricas e as existentes no fundo do mar.
Ou seja, o equivalente ao consumo de 60 casas do padrão médio de consumo de energia elétrica no Estado e, mesmo em fase de pesquisa gera energia suficiente para ser aproveitada pelas instalações do Porto do Pecém. Mas já há planos de ampliação da quantidade de braços mecânicos (hoje são dois) com boias, que captam a energia do mar e a converte em eletricidade. Toda a estrutura é feita em módulos, que podem ser acrescentados para aumentar a potência. Basta colocar mais flutuadores. Hoje, o equipamento também acopla um protótipo de uma usina de dessalinização de água do mar.
O Ceará
O litoral do Ceará não foi escolhido aleatoriamente. A assessoria da Tractebel Energia informa que a grande vantagem daqui é o vento alísio constante, resultado da rotação da Terra. O movimento do ar gera ondas regulares no mar brasileiro, que não são grandes, mas são constantes. E é isso que torna o protótipo eficiente.
No Brasil, o potencial energético das ondas é estimado, segundo a COPPE, em 87 gigawatts. Testes já feitos indicam que é possível converter cerca de 20% desse potencial em energia elétrica, o que equivale a cerca de 17% da capacidade total instalada no País.
Cronologia
O projeto foi anunciado no final de 2009 e teve a autorização ambiental da Superintendência Estadual do Meio Ambiente (Semace) em fevereiro de 2010.
A primeira estimativa divulgada para o início da geração de energia do empreendimento foi em dezembro de 2010, mas após um problema com a bomba d'água em um dos seus braços, foi-se anunciado o funcionamento para janeiro de 2011.
Seu funcionamento se deu em 24 de junho de 2012, quando foi gerada, pela primeira vez, energia por meio das ondas do mar. A usina de ondas está num período de testes que deve durar de 12 a 18 meses.
Vantagens
Baixo impacto ambiental, pois se trata de uma fonte limpa de energia e não necessita represar a água.
Usinas no Mundo
No mundo existem entre 15 e 20 protótipos de usinas para geração de energia elétrica, a partir do movimento das ondas do mar, especialmente em países europeus como Dinamarca, Portugal e Reino Unido

Starship
A six-wheeled ground drone from Starship Technologies. Equipped with a sensor suite that includes cameras, GPS and inertial measurement units, the robot can deliver items within a 6km radius. It has a large compartment to hold deliveries equivalent to the size of two grocery bags with a maximum weight of 10kg. Once the robot has arrived at the customer, the compartment is opened using a unique code generated after placing the order from a smartphone app. In March 2017, Dominos entered into a partnership with Starship Technologies to use the latter's robots as «personal delivery devices» The company plans to distribute thousands of robots across campuses around the world by 2019. 

Kiwi
Kiwi is an autonomous delivery robot that picks up and delivers food and personal-care items within a roughly 1.6 square kilometers area centered around campus. The robot uses Deep Learning to correctly interpret data gathered from its sensors and to make intelligent decisions that ensure a fast, safe and cost-efficient delivery. It can correctly identify traffic lights in order to cross streets and detect objects and obstacles to avoid collisions in a safe, reliable manner.

Robomart
Robomart, a literally little mini-mart on wheels. It is engineered with cutting-edge technology, including driverless tech for autonomy and teleoperations, an RFID and computer vision-based checkout-free system, and purpose-built refrigeration and temperature control. The bots are now used by Grocery store chain, Stop & Shop to deliver groceries to its customers. When customers want to buy some groceries, they simply tap a button in a smartphone app to request the nearest robomart. Once it arrives, they head outside, unlock the doors, and pick the products they want. Robomart tracks what customers have taken using patent-pending «grab and go» checkout-free technology and will charge them and send a receipt accordingly.


TeleRetail Robot
Using artificial intelligence to automate local logistics and minimize the ecological footprint of transportation, TeleRetail wants to help Main Street shops and small businesses to compete with major e-commerce companies like Amazon. The robot is made by the Swiss startup TeleRetail founded in 2014 by Torsten Scholl with the aim of solving the logistical problems of local businesses.  With its 84 centimeter width and capability to carry up to 35 kilograms payloads, the robot is designed to travel on sidewalks, covering long distances up to about 80 kilometers


Amazon Scout
Entering the race of autonomous delivery robots is nonother than the e-commerce giant, Amazon. Amazon Scout, a six-wheeled self-driving delivery machine that is «the size of a small cooler». Walking at a human pace, Scout uses self-driving technology to navigate through neighborhoods to deliver packages to Amazon Prime Customers. The vehicle appears large enough to accommodate small and medium-sized parcels, but no word yet on what's under the hood.


FedEx SameDay Bot
So far, FedEx SameDay Bot is the latest of a long line of last-mile delivery robots that transport small packages from shops or local distribution centers directly to consumers. FedEx says it will refine it, and then begin deployment as soon as the company’s engineers are satisfied with its performance. The bot is being developed by FedEx in collaboration with DEKA Development & Research Corp., the company behind mobility device iBot. It features pedestrian-safe tech, multiple cameras,  Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) and machine learning to help it detect and avoid obstacles, and navigate uneven surfaces.

Domino pizza chain announced that it has entered into a partnership with Nuro, a robotics delivery startup, to test using its robots to transport pizzas from a store in Houston.
