[CES 2020] 5G and V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything)

Опубликовано: 7 янв. 2020 г.V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) is a key component of connected driving. Underpinned by 5G connectivity, the solution provides real-time updates on hazards that develop beyond the driver’s line of sight, and allows the vehicle to respond to them in a safe and timely manner.

At CES 2020, Samsung showcased how the 5G TCU (Telematics Control Unit) pairs with V2X technology and the reduced latency enabled by 5G to allow for the delivery of enhanced driving information without delay.

The video below demonstrates how V2X technology detects other cars (especially emergency vehicles) and pedestrians and delivers general traffic information. It also shows how the solution can alert the driver when they need to proceed with caution, and reduce speed when unexpected developments occur on the road.

Foldable PCs at CES 2020

At CES 2020 we saw foldable PC prototypes from three different companies, Intel, Dell, and Lenovo, and Lenovo's Thinkpad X1 Fold you can actually buy. The Dell Ori and Duet, and Intel Horseshoe Bend probably won't ever go on sale, but are a look at the kind of devices we might be able to expect to see in the future.

Этот гражданин Финляндии и главный торговец российской нефтью был вынужден вернуться в Россию, после того, как попал под западные санкции. Местом жительства он выбрал не что-нибудь, а бывшую резиденцию генсека КПСС Никиты Хрущева. Московская мэрия незаконно выделила ему историческое здание и три гектара земли под видом гостиницы.

Никакой гостиницы там, конечно, нет. Это частный дом Тимченко, окруженный огромным забором.
